Celebrate the awesome finale of the first-ever Prison Island World Cup! Teams from all over the world faced the ultimate challenge of techniques, tactics, and physics. It all started with tough try-outs in each country, followed by exciting local finals. The best teams from these battles went on to the big Country Finals. The winners there earned a spot in the thrilling World Final, competing against the top teams worldwide.

About us

Prison Island

Prison Island is an indoor adventure destination for everyone from 9-99 years old. It’s all about teamwork and collaboration to solve tricky challenges in cells and to collect points. All while the clock is ticking. What once started in 2004 in Västerås, Sweden is now a fast-growing international franchise chain with more than 70 sites in 12 countries. We’re heading for the world.

Stage 4

World final

World Finals take place 25 November. Qualified to the World Final are the best two teams from each Country Final. The World Finals is held at Brussels Anspach, Belgium

If an invited team does not want to participate in the Final, the second best in order will be invited. If that team is not coming either, the next in order will be invited, etc. 

Stage 3

Country finals

The best teams from the Local Final are invited to participate in the Country Final where the best teams in the country are nominated and awarded. If an invited team from a local site, not want to participate in the Final, the second best in order will be invited. If that team is not coming either, the next in order will be invited, etc. 

Country Finals take place 28 October – 5 November. Exact dates for each Country Finals will be published on this website as it approaches.

Stage 2

Local finals

Local Finals take place 14 October. The best teams from the Local Try-outs are invited to the Local Final. If an invited team does not want to participate in the Final, the second best will be invited. If that team is not coming either, the next in order will be invited, etc. The game official at each site also has the possibility to award up to 3 wild cards to up to 3 teams. 

Stage 1

Local try-outs

Local Try-outs are set to 2-11 October. The opening hours and available time slots for try-outs are decided locally. A team that wants to make a try-out for the World Cup should make a standard time slot reservation and register locally. Available time slots will be advertised locally. Specific rules for the try-outs can vary between the sites. A try-out fee has to be paid for each try-out attempt in addition to normal fees at the site before the try-out starts.The best teams from the try-outs are qualified to the Local Finals.
