We’re thrilled to welcome all teams who have qualified for Prison Island World Final 2025 in Oslo!
All invited teams should have received an email with detailed information about the event – so check your inbox and get ready for an unforgettable competition!
Competition Time – Extended!
This year’s final will last 120 minutes instead of 90. Oslo is the largest Prison Island in the world, so you’ll get more time to explore and score!
Levels Are Coming!
Oslo now features Levels, meaning some cells have more than one challenge.
Our goal is to have Levels installed and ready for the final, with some exceptions possible.

What is “Levels”?
Levels is a brand-new game mode that will now be implemented at most Prison Island sites.
It means a significantly expanded number of games within the same premises — offering many new experiences that are almost impossible to complete in just one visit.
How it works
• When a team starts to play, all cells are in Level 1 mode.
• If the team completes Level 1 100% in a cell, Level 2 is unlocked.
• The next time they enter that same cell, there will be a new game with a new set of challenges and extra points to earn.
• If Level 2 is also completed, Level 3 is unlocked, introducing a third game with even more points.
• Once a new Level is unlocked for a team, it remains unlocked for the rest of their visit.
What to expect
• Around half of the cells at a site will initially have three Levels. The rest will only have one.
• The Level 1 game is often slightly easier than the current version.
• Level 2 is similar in difficulty to today’s challenges.
• Level 3 is typically the most difficult.
• Each Level introduces a completely new game logic – not just a harder or faster version of the same challenge, but a new experience to solve and master.
Points and scoring
All sites with Levels will have a maximum total score of 10,000 points, representing 100% completion of the site.
This means that when a team completes a cell, they’ve completed that cell 100%, but it doesn’t equal 100 points. Instead, each cell’s value is calculated as:
10,000 ÷ total number of levels at the site.
So, the number of points per Level may vary from site to site depending on how many cells and Levels there are. However, within one site, all Levels are worth the same amount of points.
For the World Cup Final in Oslo
Our goal is to have Levels fully implemented by early November.
Although there’s still some uncertainty, the system will be up and running at least one week before the World Cup Final.
